The land where the estate's vineyards thrive enjoys fine exposure to both sun and wind; the soil is rocky and calcareous, the best guarantee for high quality grapes.
Each vineyard has it's own name. There is "Capaccio", rustic yet stately, dominating the hillside; "Torre Rossa" protected from harsh northerly winds, basks in it's sunny southern exposure. "La Sala" is a natural amphitheater facing southwest. Moreover, if the "Pozzo della Fate" vineyard evokes stories of change, of gushing spring waters and penetrating energy, the "Le Sorgenti" estate has always been a place where people meet, enjoy life and create their destinies.
Grapes are harvested the most traditional way, by hand
Respect for the fruits that grow on balanced cordon trained vines allows all the typical microclimatic features of the area to contribute to creating the finest wine.
The vines that are tended with experience and guided-integrated controls are raised to yield fruits that will become cru wines.
Time and temperature are the main factors in our winemaking. Verification is differentiated and adapted to suit each harvest and enhance the natural equilibrium of the grapes. From the fruit to the vine to the wine, a thrilling experience.
Wanting to become great
I searched from the world's most illuminated oenologist.
I entrusted my fields to the most illustrious agronomists.
My cellar-men were dressed in silks
and farm laborers in brocade.
They harvested with golden gloves,
with dancing rythems,
and put the grapes in velvet cloths
but it was not enough.
My land was waiting for me,
to come back and listen, to understand it,
and watch over it every day with
the eyes of a father, mother, and brother,
to see its plants breathe and
take joy in its silent guardian
who knew its every breath,
its language and,
the harmonious song of silence.
I heard its voice.
I made small gestures.
And the gift was grand.
The king of wines.
